  • Place the garlic in a food processor and pulse until it is finely minced.
  • Add the basil, nutritional yeast flakes, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the food processor or blender.
  • Pulse the ingredients until they are well combined.
  • Slowly stream in the olive oil while the food processor is running.
  • Blend the ingredients until the pesto is smooth and well combined.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

Notes

You can serve this basil pesto over pasta, spread it on sandwiches or wraps, or use it as a dip. Enjoy!
