Crispy oven baked chicken wings
Equipment
- large oven dish
Ingredients
- 1000g (2.2 lbs) Chicken Wings
- 2 tbsp Oil ghee, tallow or coconut oil
- 2 bay leaves optional
Spices
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp garlic granules optional
- ¼ tsp black pepper optional
- ½ tsp basil
- ½ tsp thyme
- ½ tsp paprika
Instructions
- Cut the wings in half, if desired.
- Heat the fat in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken wings to the pan and fry them until they are golden brown on both sides.
- Preheat the oven to 200° C (390° F).
- Once the chicken wings are browned, transfer them to an oven dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the spices thoroughly.
- Sprinkle the spice mix over the chicken wings in the oven dish.
- Pour the remaining fat from the pan over the wings and add a bay leaf for added flavor.
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes or until they are crispy and fully cooked.
- Serve the wings with your favorite condiments and enjoy!
